At the heart of this event was the work of @alapraxis, a collective of visionary artists who are blending art, science, and technology to create a brighter future. The collective, which includes notable names like Rasak Akorede, Noah Misan, and Peace Toba Olatunji, presented groundbreaking projects that demonstrated how creativity can be harnessed to tackle real-world problems. Their work reflects a seamless fusion of African culture with cutting-edge digital tools, showing the transformative power of art in addressing global challenges.

The exhibition highlighted the limitless potential of these disciplines when they converge, with projects that ranged from digital installations to AI-driven art, illustrating how technology can enhance artistic expression and open new doors for problem-solving.

Global Cultural Exchange with Goethe-Institut

In an exciting collaboration, the Goethe-Institut Nigeria played a key role in the event, emphasizing the importance of global cultural exchange in fostering creativity. Distinguished guests like Dr. Nadine Siegert, Director of the Goethe-Institut, and her colleagues Oluwadara Omotoso and Chinyere Obieze shared insights on how the institute’s pioneering artist residencies and digital collaborations are reshaping the global cultural landscape. The S+T+ARTS4AFRICA Initiative: Driving Innovation

One of the most compelling aspects of the event was the spotlight on the S+T+ARTS4AFRICA initiative. This program is fostering collaborations between African artists and international stakeholders to drive digital innovation across the continent. Through funded residencies, artists in the program have demonstrated how African culture and state-of-the-art technology can blend to create impactful solutions for some of the world’s most pressing issues.

Participants were given the opportunity to explore the S+T+ARTS4AFRICA experience firsthand, hearing from residency artists and learning how this unique initiative is bridging the gap between art and technology to foster global collaboration. The program exemplifies the power of cross-continental partnerships, creating platforms where the brightest minds from both Europe and Africa can work together to spark new ideas.

These collaborations highlight the vibrant creative sector that has emerged at this intersection, revealing how artists are using technology to solve real-world problems.

Throughout the event, the focus was on innovation—not just as a technological endeavor but as a creative process. Attendees were treated to thought-provoking discussions, interactive exhibitions, and groundbreaking projects that pushed the boundaries of traditional art forms.
