Home is Where the Heart (and Wi-Fi) Is: Updates from Emerging Communities
Hey everyone, it's time for another peek into the exciting world of Emerging Communities! Lately, we've been reflecting on what truly makes a place feel like home.
For our incredible volunteers working with us, "home" isn't just about bricks and mortar. It's the feeling of belonging that comes from making a real difference alongside inspiring people. These amazing folks may be running their own businesses and juggling a million things (seriously, where do they get their energy?), but their dedication keeps the volunteer network thriving, and for that, we are eternally grateful!
Girl Power in the Digital Age!
Speaking of inspiration, we're still buzzing from our International Girls in ICT Day event! It was a day filled with empowering workshops and all sort of challenging challenges and enough girl boss energy to light up the entire continent. We're so proud of all the young women who participated and can't wait to see the incredible things they achieve!
Taming the Workplace Woes: Mental Health Matters!
Now, let's face it, even the most passionate changemakers need a mental health break sometimes. That's why we hosted a Twitter chat titled "Mental Healthcare in Today's Workforce." We tackled stress-busting tips, the importance of setting boundaries, and how to create a healthy work-life balance (Emerging Communities let's be honest, who wants a burnt-out superhero?).
Missed the live chat? No worries! The recording is chilling on our Twitter page (@emergingtechaf) just waiting for you to hit play and learn some self-care secrets.
That's All Folks (For Now!)
We've got a ton more exciting things planned for the coming weeks, so stay tuned! Until then, keep spreading the good vibes, and remember, a strong cup of coffee and a supportive online community can make any place feel like home (with Wi-Fi, of course!).
See you soon!
The Team at Emerging Communities.
